DescriptionA black-and-white negative of game action Ebbets Field taken during an unidentified World Series game between 1952 and 1956. The image was taken from an elevated position near home plate. The images shows Brooklyn Dodgers catcher Roy Campanella, wearing number thirty nine, running towards first base and New York Yankees catcher Yogi Berra, wearing number eight, watches. An unidentified Yankees pitcher, wearing number thirty, throws a ball towards first base. The first base side grandstands of Ebbets Field are visible in the background. The date of the negative was determined by examining Salas' career; Salas was active as a baseball photographer from 1950 until 1958 and the Dodgers left Brooklyn after the 1957 season.
