DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Phil Rizzuto (left) talking with Mickey Mantle (right) in front of the away dugout at Ebbets Field, taken before an unidentified game of the 1956 World Series. Rizzuto is dressed in street clothes while Mantle is wearing a New York Yankees away uniform. Both men are shown from the knee level up. Rizzuto stands in profile to the camera with his right shoulder forward. Mantle stands at a slight angle to the camera with the front of his uniform visible. Mantle has his arms crossed across his chest as he listens to Rizzuto speak. A few unidentified Yankees player sit in the dugout to the left of Rizzuto. Fans stand and sit in the seats above the dugout; one fan seems to be taking a photo of Rizzuto and Mantle. The date of the negative was provided by caption on the reverse of a print of the same image (not shown).
