DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of three busts depicting (left to right) Willie Keeler, George Sisler, and Eddie Collins. Consisting of three black-and-white portrait photographs, pedestals have been painted to create busts. All three players, shown from the neck up, wear jerseys and caps. Keeler, in profile, directs his gaze forward and up. Sisler smiles, facing forward. Collins, facing the viewer, looks forward and to the left. Pasted on the reverse (not shown) is a newspaper clipping of this published image. Stamped on this clipping (not shown), in purple ink, is the date, "JAN 25 1939." This image was most probably created in 1939 to announce the election of these three players to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
