DescriptionA black-and-white full-length photograph of Bob Feller posed with teammate Ray Boone and manager Al Lopez wearing Native American ethnic costume. Feller wearing a suit, tie, and pocket square faces front. For the photograph Feller wears a feathered war bonnet and in his right hand holds a tomahawk. Feller smiles, looking at the tomahawk raised in his right hand. Bonne wears a similar feathered war bonnet and holds a bow and arrow. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in back ink, is a clipping of the original newspaper caption that reads, "YANKEES, UGH: Apache Indians, Donald Blake and Robert Geronimo, son of the famous warrior chief, show Cleveland stars Ray Boone (left) and Bobby Feller and Manager Al Lopez how to scalp Yankees in series that began in Stadium last night." Stamped on the reverse (not shown) in purple ink is the date "MAY 7 1952," the publication date of this image.
