DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Bob Feller holding his high school diploma from Van Meter Consolidated High School. Bob wears a dark suit with a tie and handkerchief in the left breast suit pocket. Feller gingerly holds his high school diploma by the corners from a briefcase and smiles. There is an unidentified person that is cut off at the side of the picture. A caption below the photo (not shown) reads, "Van Meter, IA., May 15-It's in the bag-Bob Feller's diploma, which he received on graduating from high school here last night, was tenderly laid on top of bag by the Cleveland Indians' 18-year-old strike out artist, as he prepared to leave for Chicago. Bob will report to Indians and resume baseball career today."
