DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Duke Mass pitching in 1958. Maas is on the pitcher's mound in profile and wearing a Kansas City Athletics uniform. He has his front (left) leg bent at the knee with his back (right) leg trailing far behind him. His upper body is straight up and down while his right arm is behind him and above his head bent at almost a 90 degree angle. He is holding the baseball in his right hand. In the background is a full crowd in the stands. The photograph is taken from the third base side of the field.
