DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Hal Newhouser throwing a snowball. The image captures Newhouser posed in a full baseball wind up about to release the snowball. Newhouser looks off in the direction of his intended target and is dressed in slacks, dress shoes, and a Letterman jacket. Several residential houses are visible in the background. The image caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "The Fellow Can Throw a Snowball Too. Hal Newhouser, of the Detroit Tigers, who led American League pitchers in 1945 with an earned run average of 1.81, shows, in front of his home at Detroit, that throwing arm works with any kind of a missile."
