DescriptionA sepia toned portrait photograph of Ban Johnson. Johnson, shown from the chest up wears a suit, tie, and vest. Johnson's torso and head are angled slightly to the left. Johnson looks down to the left of the camera. The gray background of the photo and the white lines present on his torso are not original to the photograph and exist as modifications for publication. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in black ink, is copyright information that reads, "NEW YORK TELEGRAM." Also on the reverse (not shown), stamped in black ink, are the dates "LAST TIME USED MAY 11 1927," "LAST TIME USED JUL 8 -1927," and "RECEIVED AUG 11 1926," the multiple publication dates of this image.
