The caption (not shown) reads "Babe Ruth and his wife wave goodbye as they board a TWA constellation for St. Louis, where the Bambino will appear in connection with the American Legion baseball program. He also is going to make appearances at Spencer and Sioux City, Iowa, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Minneapolis, before returning to New York. The Babe started his junket June 18, at LaGuardia Field."
