Wagner is looking ahead smirking and holding his cane. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Baseball Greats Meet Carnegie, Pa.:-Cy Young (left), 86, and Honus Wagner, 79, two of baseball's all-time greats, chat outside Wagner's home in Carnegie. Young stopped at Wanger's home after a visit to Cooperstown, N.Y., where the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum stands." Based on the caption, this photograph was taken in approximately 1953.
