BiographyTom Burns played for Chicago of the National League (1880-1891, known as White Stockings 1876-1889, then Colts 1890-1897) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (1892, as player-manager). After his playing career, Burns managed the Chicago Orphans of the National League (1898 & 1899).
