A caption below the image (not shown) states, "3/19 Connie Mack (right), Grand Old Man of baseball, is traveling with his team on the Grapefruit Circuit. Long-time manager of the Philadelphia Athletics is shown here with John J. Quinn, general manager of the Milwaukee Braves, as A's and Braves faced each other in an exhibition game." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was likely taken on March 19, 1954.
