Street is dressed in the St. Louis Cardinals road uniform and has a tight lipped expression on his face. Mack is dressed in a suit and has a serious expression on his face. Unidentified stadium is visible in the background. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Will They Meet Again? Connie Mack, manager of the world champion Philadelphia 'Athletics,' and Gabby Street, manager of the St. Louis 'Cardinals,' meet for the first time since the World Series of 1930 when the Athletics emerged victorious as their teams prepare for an exhibition game at Miami, Fla. 3-9-31." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on March 9, 1931.
