All three gentlemen are dressed in suits and have smiles on their faces. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Baseball Trio Philadelphia: Connie Mack (center), the grand old man of baseball and manager of the Philadelphia Athletics, receives a cheerful promise from two different angles as 'Mickey' Cochrane (left) and 'Bing' Miller (right) whisper in his ears that the Athletics will be on top in 1950. Cochrane and Miller were named coaches at a luncheon, Nov. 30. Cochrane will coach pitchers." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on November 30, 1949.
