DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack captured as he receives a plaque presented to him by Miss Pennsylvania, Barbara Sue Nager, honoring Mack for his upcoming 92nd birthday. Mack has a serious expression on his face and is dressed in a tuxedo. The plaque features two baseball bats that are crossed and a baseball. The writing on the plaque states, "Happy 92 Birthday to the...greatest man in baseball Connie Mack." A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Buss For Connie Philadelphia: Barbara Sue Nager, winsome 'Miss Pennsylvania,' gives Connie Mack a congratulatory kiss as the 'old man' of baseball received a plaque at party held in honor of his 92nd birthday, Nov. 17th. 11-17-54." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on November 17, 1954.
