Mack has is mouth wide open and is holding up his fork in one hand and a piece of cake on a plate in his other. He is dressed in a tuxedo. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph and states, "11/15/51-Phila., Pa- Photo above shows Connie Mack, former manager of the Philadelphia Athletics, eats a piece of his birthday cake as he celebrates his 89th birthday." The creation date of this photograph is based on the included caption.
