DescriptionA black-and-white glass plate negative of Lew Fonseca's son, Lew Fonseca Jr., captured dressed in catcher's gear as he squats down into the catching pose at Comiskey Park. In the foreground is a catcher's mask that is being held up. A baseball bat, glove and additional catching equipment is visible on the ground beside Lew Fonseca, Jr. Based on Lew Fonseca's time with the Chicago White Sox this negative was taken between 1931 and 1934.
