DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax sitting on a couch. Koufax is reading the newspaper and looking at his raised left hand. The caption on the right side of the photograph reads, "Los Angeles: Dodger pitcher Sandy Koufax reads of the 3-2 loss suffered by the Dodgers to St. Louis 7/24 and reflectively looks at his injured left index finger which is keeping the league's top lefthander out of action. Sandy says there is improvement in the condition of the finger but that it is a slow process. Koufax' 14-5 record this year has been a big factor in the Dodger's league standing." According to the caption, this photograph was taken on July 25, 1962.
