DescriptionA color negative of Mel Ott captured reaching for a baseball bat out of the bat box in the New York Giants dugout. Ott has his head turned to his left side, away from the bat, with a serious expression on his face and he is furrowing his eyebrows. He is grabbing the baseball bat with his left hand from the box labeled "9." Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this negative was taken between 1943 and 1946.
