DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Pie Traynor, left and Howard Brubaker, right, captured chatting in an unidentified stadium. Traynor has his right hand placed on his hip as he looks at Brubaker during their chat. Brubaker is looking towards Traynor with a serious expression. Traynor is dressed in a Pittsburgh Pirates road uniform. A newspaper caption affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "'Pie' Traynor, manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, has an amicable discussion with Howard Brubaker (right), infielder, at the San Bernardino, Cal., camp of the Bucs. Brubaker was a holdout." Based on Traynor's uniform and his time with the Pirates, this photograph was taken between 1934 and 1937.
