DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Pie Traynor, left, and Ford Frick, right, captured seated in a dugout. Traynor, dressed in a Pittsburgh Pirates home uniform, has his right leg crossed over his left and is pointing at something off in the distance. Frick, dressed in a three piece suit, is holding a cigarette in his right hand and is looking off towards where Traynor is pointing. Writing on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Harold Pie Traynor - MG of Pitt Ford Frick Pres of Nat League in dugout." A newspaper caption affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Pie Traynor when he..." Based on Traynor's uniform and his time with the Pirates, this photograph was probably taken in 1938.
