Pie Traynor with Group photograph

Dateprobably 1927
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of, identified from left to right on the reverse (not shown), Pie Traynor, Glenn Wright, George Grantham and Joe Harris standing on an unidentified baseball field. Traynor has a serious expression on his face and his arms down by his side while holding a bat in his right hand. Wright has a straight face and has his arms down by his side. Grantham has a smile on his face and has his hands placed behind his back. Harris has a small smile on his face with his hands behind his back. All four gentlemen are dressed in Pittsburgh Pirates road uniforms. The caption on the front of the photograph states, "Traynor." The writing on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Traynor's uniforms color is blue & white with blue trainers." Based on Traynor, Wright, Grantham, and Harris' uniforms and their respective time with the Pirates, this photograph was probably taken in 1927.
