DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott and Ben Chapman captured standing together. Chapman, dressed in a Philadelphia Phillies road uniform, is standing with his hands on his hips and a small smirk on his face while looking at Ott. Ott, dressed in a New York Giants home uniform, is captured in profile looking at Chapman with a straight face. Ott is holding a baseball bat in his left hand. Based on their uniforms and their time with their respective teams, this photograph was taken in either 1945 or 1946.
