Dateprobably 1942
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott, right, and Leo Durocher, center, standing next to an unidentified man on a baseball diamond. The man is dressed in a suit and is standing in front of a microphone. Durocher is standing with his hands behind his back and has a slight smile on his face. Ott has a serious expression on his face and is holding his hat in his left hand. Three other unidentified gentlemen are standing behind Ott and Durocher that are dressed in formal wear. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform whereas Durocher is dressed in the Brooklyn Dodgers road uniform. The remainder of the Brooklyn Dodgers' players are standing on a baseball field in the background. A marching band is also visible in the background. The the Polo Grounds is visible in the background and is filled with numerous fans. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1942.
