DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Eddie Collins captured with smiling with his hands placed on his hips. Collins is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. Collins has a baseball glove on his left hand. Two unidentified players are in the background. The caption on the back of the photograph states, "Eddie Collins, former manager of the Chicago White Sox, now Captain and asst. Manager of the Philadelphia Athletics, working out with the team at Fort Meyers, Fla." Based on Collins' uniform and his time with the Athletics, this photograph was taken in approximately 1928.
