Eddie Collins photograph, between 1928-1930

DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulder, photograph of Eddie Collins. Collins is smiling straight ahead. He is dressed in the Philadelphia Athletics uniform. Due to how little of the uniform is visible it is unclear whether Collins is dressed in a home or road uniform. The first caption on the back of the photograph states, "Ninety-foot Sprinters - Eddie Collins (left) won dash home from Heinie Zimmerman in 1917." Another caption on the back of the photograph states, "Eddie Collins, former Philadelphia Athletics." The final caption on the back of the photograph states, "With the pendant winning Athletics of the American League. Photo Shows- Eddie Collins, seocnd baseman with the Philadelphia Athletics." Based on his uniform and his time with the Athletics, this photograph was taken between 1928 and 1930.
