DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Gus Mancuso captured in profile at bat completing his swing. Mancuso has a look of determination on his face and his body is twisted to his left side. He is in a wide stance and a cloud of dust is rising around his left foot. Mancuso is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform and the number 10 is visible on the back of his uniform. An unidentified photographer is captured squatting down on the field. Ebbets Field is in the background and the stands are filled with fans. Based on Mancuso's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
