DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Leo Durocher captured at bat. Durocher has completed his swing and he is holding the baseball bat over his left shoulder. His left foot is lifted slightly off the ground. Durocher is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform and the number 2 is visible on the back of his uniform. An unidentified catcher is in the foreground squatting and the baseball is visible in his right hand. Ebbets Field is in the background. The stands are filled. Based on Durocher's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
