DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Dolph Camilli making a play. Camilli has his right leg on the ground, touching the base, as Joe DiMaggio approaches the bag. Camilli is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform and the number 4 is visible on the back of his uniform. DiMaggio is dressed in a New York Yankees road uniform. Ebbets Field is in the background and advertisements line the lower wall of the stadium. Based on Camilli's and DiMaggio’s uniforms and their respective time with their teams, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
