DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Ossie Vitt captured in profile sitting on a bench in the Cleveland Indians dugout. Vitt is smiling while looking out onto the field. His arms are held against the bench and his feet are on the bottom stair of the dugout. Vitt is dressed in the Cleveland Indians home uniform. He was a manager for the Indians from 1938 through 1940. An unidentified Cleveland Indians player is stand in the dugout captured looking down and holding baseball bats in his right hand. Several other unidentified Indians players are in the background seated on the bench in the dugout. Above the top of the dugout numerous fans are visible in the stands. Based on Vitt's uniform and his time with the Indians, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
