DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Joe Medwick captured on first base. Medwick has a small smile on his face and his right hand is placed on his hip. The unidentified first base coach is standing next to Medwick. Medwick and the unidentified coach are dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. The scoreboard is visible in the background and shows that the Dodgers were facing the New York Yankees during this particular game. Advertisements line the lower wall next to the scoreboard. An American flag is flying in the background. Based on Medwick's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
