Cookie Lavagetto at First Base negative

DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Cookie Lavagetto captured running to tag first base. Lavagetto is looking at the unidentified Brooklyn Dodgers player who is still tagged up at first base instead of running to second base. The unidentified first baseman for the New York Yankees also appears to be confused as he is looking in the direction of second base. Ebbets Field is in the background. Numerous fans from the stadium are standing up and looking towards the center of the field. Lavagetto is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform whereas the first baseman is dressed in a New York Yankees road uniform. Based on Lavagetto's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
