Bio/Historical NoteBall used and autographed by Stan Musial on May 13, 1958 for his 3,000th career hit at Wrigley Field off pitcher Moe Drabowsky. With the Cardinals trailing the Chicago Cubs 3-1 in the sixth, manager Fred Hutchinson opted to bat Musial for weak-hitting pitcher Sam Jones. Musial doubled to left for his 3,000th hit, sparking a rally that pushed the Cardinals to victory.
