Ted Williams glove
Dateundated
DescriptionBrown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and a large piece of leather between the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. The finger stalls are connected at the top by a leather lace. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. "Triple Lock Web" is stamped on the palm side of the webbing. "Ted Williams / Personal Model" is stamped into the pocket of the glove in cursive writing. "Snap Action" is stamped in the leather between the pinky and the lower edge, also in cursive writing. Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap that feeds through a slot and fastens with a knotted leather lace. The manufacturers label on the wrist strap is almost illegible but appears to say "Wilson." To the left of this is "Hold Tite Strap" stamped into the leather. "Major League" is stamped across the back side of the thumb stall. There is patent and model information stamped along the back side of the pinky stall.
