DescriptionLong rectangular pitching rubber with five nails along one side and one nail along the adjacent side. There are three holes with metal edging in the bottom, used to anchor the rubber to the mound, and a circular imprint in the center which once had "Pennsylvania" printed inside of it, now mostly illegible.
Bio/Historical NotePitching rubber used at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. Forbes Field was home to the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1909 to 1970. It was demolished in 1971 and the Pirates moved to Three Rivers Stadium.
