DescriptionBrown leather right-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall. Forefinger stall and thumb stall are connected by three horizontal pieces of leather and three vertical pieces of leather as webbing. Palm side of the glove has several stamps, including "MacGregor," "KC1" and "Handlasted." Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls and a wrist strap that fastens with a knotted leather lace. There is a manufacturer label on the wrist strap. "Made in USA" is stamped on the back side of the thumb stall along with "Blue #47" handwritten in black marker.
Bio/Historical NoteOakland A's 20-year-old pitcher Vida Blue wore this glove on September 21, 1970, when he no-hit the visiting Minnesota Twins. The 6-0, nine strikeout victory was only the eighth major league start of Blue's young career.
