Brooks Robinson World Series glove

DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall. The forefinger and thumb stalls are connected by two horizontal pieces of leather and one vertical piece of leather as webbing. Tops of the finger stalls are connected by leather laces. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Laces also run up the palm side thumb stall, pinky stall and along the heel area. "For The Professional Player" is barely visible stamped on the palm side of the pinky stall. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened with a knotted leather lace. There is stitching on the wrist strap where a manufacturer label used to have been. Back side of the pinky stall has "Brooks / 5" handwritten in black ink. There is patent information and "Edge-U-Cated Heel" stamped into the back side of the pinky stall.

Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Baltimore third baseman Brooks Robinson in his stellar defensive performance during the 1970 World Series. The Orioles defeated the Cincinnati Reds four games to one to win the Series.
