DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Pie Traynor captured standing at the edge of a dugout looking out onto a baseball field. Traynor has a look of concentration on his face. His right leg is propped up on the top step and his right hand is placed on the same knee; his left hand is crossed over his body and resting on his right arm. Traynor is dressed in a Pittsburgh Pirates home uniform. An unidentified Pirates player is bending down in the dugout. Forbes Field is visible in the background and fans fill the seats. Based on Traynor's uniform and his time with the Pirates, this photograph was probably taken in 1938.
