DescriptionWhite polyester shirt, size 48, with two red cardinals, a bat and "Cardinals / 5" in red appliques across the front chest, Interior proper right front shirttail has a manufacturer label, "Authentic Collection / Rawlings," with flag tag "Set 1 2001 / 48." Proper right sleeve has a red embroidered "R." Reverse of the shirt has a small American flag at the center of the neckline at the top and "Pujols / 5" in red appliques. Front and back side of the shirt has been signed in black marker.
Bio/Historical NoteShirt worn by Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals on September 19, 2001 when he drove in three runs in his first two at-bats to give him a National League rookie-record 120 RBI, breaking the mark of 119 set by Wally Berger in 1930 for the Boston Braves. Pujols was also named the National League Rookie of the Year in 2001.
