DescriptionSquare white rubber base with "Rawlings" in raised diagonal lettering in the center. Underside of the base has "105" handwritten in black ink on the rubber as well as on the metal center portion. Center metal stem extends for a few inches but base can lay flat.
Bio/Historical NoteBase stolen by Lou Brock on September 10, 1974 against the Philadelphia Phillies in the seventh inning for his 105th stolen base of the season. The Cardinals outfielder set a modern single-season record for most stolen bases with 105. Brock ended the season with 118 stolen bases, and five years later ended his career with 938 thefts, a total later surpassed by Chicago native Rickey Henderson.
