Mike Piazza World Series helmet

DescriptionBlack plastic helmet, size 7 1/2, with a royal blue bill and a blue and orange "NY" decal on the front. There is a "Piazza" sticker on the top of the bill. Rear center has an MLB logo and "Piazza" labels. There is a proper left side ear protector. Interior has a padded brown vinyl sweatband and a large pad at the rear center. Three manufacturers stickers are present on the interior crown, including "Authentic Diamond Collection," "American Baseball Cap" and a warning label.

Bio/Historical NoteBatting helmet worn by New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza during the 2000 World Series. The New York Yankees defeated the New York Mets four games to one to win their third consecutive championship and 26th overall. Piazza was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
