His body is facing the camera and he is looking over his left shoulder towards home plate. His front (left) foot is coming down and almost touching the ground while his back (right) foot is on the pitching rubber. His pitching (right) arm is behind him slightly bent and holding the baseball in his traditional knuckleball grip. Boston Red Sox player Mo Vaughn is in the background throwing infield grounders. The photograph is taken from the third base side of the field.
