Wade Boggs 200th Hit batting gloves

DescriptionWhite and navy blue leather and nylon batting gloves. The finger portions of the gloves are white leather and have small holes going up to the tips of the fingers on the back and palm sides. The middle of the gloves on the back side have a navy blue nylon portion in the middle with a black and white "Franklin" label sewn in. The gloves have white and navy blue cuffs around the wrists with hook-and-loop straps for size adjustment. In between the thumb and index finger on both gloves is "26" handwritten in black marker.

Bio/Historical NoteBatting gloves used by Wade Boggs when he reached his 200th hit of the 1989 season against the New York Yankees on September 25, 1989 in Boston at Fenway Park. Boggs was the first player since 1900 to have seven straight seasons with 200 hits.
