DescriptionWhite and gray leather and nylon batting gloves, size large, with elastic wrist cuffs and hook-and-loop straps. Back sides have white and black "Franklin" labels with black, gray and white rubber MLB logos on the hook-and-loop straps. Each glove has "Castillo" handwritten in black ink upside down below the "Franklin" labels. Forefinger stalls have "Carbon Fibre" in black lettering vertically on the back side. Finger stalls also have ventilation holes. Wrist straps have "1" handwritten in black ink next to the MLB logos. Palm sides are gray leather with ventilation holes on the finger stalls. Interiors have manufacturer labels and sizing tags.
Bio/Historical NoteBatting gloves used by Luis Castillo of the Florida Marlins during his 35-game hitting streak from May 8th through June 21, 2002. The longest streak ever by a second baseman, it surpassed the 33-game streak of Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby.
