DescriptionWhite nylon and leather batting gloves with navy blue portions along the back sides containing a silver vinyl figure with outstretched arms and legs holding a ball in one hand. Back side of fingers have gray leather portions across the middle knuckles with slits cut diagonally. Velcro adjustable wrist straps have silver vinyl tabs near the ends with "Jordan" imprinted. Palm side of gloves are gray pitted leather. Palm sides of the wrist straps are navy blue with "#2 / Jeter" in white lettering on a blue fabric label in the center of the wrist strap. Left glove has an MLB Authentication hologram sticker to the left of the fabric label on the wrist strap and right glove has an MLB Authentication hologram sticker to the right of the fabric label on the wrist strap.
Bio/Historical NoteBatting gloves worn by Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees on September 11, 2009 when he recorded his 2,722nd career hit at Yankee Stadium, passing the previous record set for hits held by Lou Gehrig.
