George Foster Japanese Tour shirt

DescriptionLight gray v-neck shirt, size 42, with red and white trim around the collar and sleeve ends. "Cincinnati" and "15" is appliqued in red across the front chest. "Foster" and "15" are appliqued in red on the back side of the shirt. "5" is handwritten in black marker on the manufacturer label at the interior proper right shirttail.

Bio/Historical NoteThis Cincinnati Reds shirt was worn by left fielder George Foster during the 1978 Japanese Tour. The Reds achieved an impressive 14-2-1 record against the Japanese teams they played. Foster spent the majority of his major league career with the Reds, winning two world series championships with them in 1975 and 1976 as part of the "Big Red Machine."
