Virginia Tezak Papesh glove

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed fielder's glove with a three-tiered web between the thumb and forefinger stalls. Palm side of the glove has manufacturer stamps, including "605L" at the heel and "Streamline / ???? Form Fingers / Patent No." at the base of the little finger. Handwritten on the back of the thumb stall in black marker is "from Dad / All-Am Girls Professional Baseball League / Given To Virginia Tezak 1948." Stamped on the back of the thumb stall is "It's A Wilson / Patent No." The wrist strap has two button holes, a brass button with "Wilson" in red lettering and a black "Wilson" cloth label.

Bio/Historical NoteFielder's glove used by Virginia Tezak Papesh in 1948 as a member of the Racine Belles of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League.
