Denny McLain 30th Season Win glove

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and a hinged piece of leather connecting the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. Tops of the finger stalls are connected by criss-cross leather laces. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Palm side stamps include "Cushioned Pocket / W A2000 / Snap Action / Wilson / Made in USA." Palm side of the webbing has "Dual Hinge" printed vertically. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened with a criss-cross leather lace. There is a black and gold embroidered "W" logo in the center of the wrist strap with "Nylon Stitched" stamped to the right. Back side of the pinky stall has patent information. Back side of the webbing has " 'The A2000' " stamped vertically. Back side of the thumb stall has "Made in USA" in a circle with patent information above. "D. McLain" is handwritten in black ink on the interior of the wrist area.
Bio/Historical NoteThe only big leaguer to win 30 games in a season since 1934, Tigers pitcher Denny McLain wore this glove when he reached the milestone victory by topping the Oakland A's, 5-4, September 14, 1968.
