DescriptionA color photograph of George W. Bush throwing out the first ball of the 2001 World Series in New York at Yankee Stadium in New York, NY on October 30, 2001. The image, taken from a higher angle, shows Bush on the pitcher's mound at the end of his pitch (the ball can be seen as a blur right below the cameraman). The image also shows reporters lined up along the third base line, New York Yankees players just beyond the infield dirt in right field, and a Yankees catcher behind the plate.
