DescriptionDark grey plastic batting helmet with orange and white"S" sticker on the front. Top and sides have ventilation openings. Both the left and right sides have ear protection flaps which have a silver metal bolt protruding. There is a hole on the top brim in the center as well as in the top center crown. At the back of the helmet exterior are two stickers, and MLB logo sticker and a circular "Sonoma Stompers" sticker depicting hills, a half moon and a baseball. There are faded white Rawlings stamps on the left and right of this sticker in the back. Interior of helmet has foam padding along the forehead, ears and back of head as well as on the top crown. The foam padding is covered in fabric printed with "ProDri." Interior also has several stickers, one with a barcode and another with fitting instructions. The underside of the brim has warning labels in raised lettering.
Bio/Historical NoteGame-used batting helmet worn by Sonoma Stompers player Kelsie Whitmore when she recorded her first professional hit as a member of the Sonoma Stompers on July 20, 2016. It is believed that Whitmore along with Stacy Piagno and Anna Kimbrell are the first to play in a professional men's baseball game since the All-American Professional Girls Baseball League existed during World War II. The Sonoma Stompers are in the independent Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs.
